hi there and thanks ! you can either buy fondant or make it. if you search marshmallow fondant online, you will have lots of recipes pop up. the diff between homemade and store bought fondant is that mm fondant tastes a lot sweeter. it’s melted marshmallows and powdered sugar–so imagine chewing into that store bought fondant’s taste — to me — is like hardened cotton candy… but again it will all depend on what you think. u gotta try it yourself to make a judgement
Your cakes are beautiful! I am curious about fondant. I would like to know if you have a recipe or do you buy it…..also what does it taste like? Thanks in advance!
Thanks ! And i am glad you have tried to make cakes !!! You will be hooked! The lid of the box is made up of a cake board covered with gumpaste. if you will use the cover for the top tier only, you may use gumpaste only. but if you will make a topsy turvy cake with covered boxes, you will need a cake board cause you will need to puncture the boxes when you start stacking the cakes. make sure you add extra dowel support for the lid itself.

I’m 1 f ur fan.u’ve really inspired me 2try making my 1st fondant cake.I’ve tried it last friday 4 me & my hubby’s b-day.Though it’s simple(2 tier)it turned out great. My pamangkin asked me 2 make her 1 for her 18th b-day.datz 3 mos. from now…is the lid of the box made out of cake or just gum paste? I’m was planning to make a topsy turvy cake but i’m scared coz it’s going to be a long drive(fr. L.A.2 Vegas)so i’ve just decided to make a 2 tier gift box cake.Hope 2 hear from u soon. Many tnx! =)
I’ve seen some of the other cakes that you have done and I think they’re all wonderful! You’ve really inspired me to try making my own fondant cake. I only hope they turn out as great as yours:P Keep up the good work.
you are so sweet the original design for this cake needs another try… so i will do that soon ! And although it takes a lot of time to make em, the best part is actually eating the cakes !
Advice?!? Im surprised you even would say that after showing us a visually extraordinary cake like that!
I may be a sugar freak when it comes to cakes but if I came accross a cake like yours id feel bad eating it even if it was the best tasting cake in the world.
Many thanks ! I was actually inspired by other people here on youtube….and i am honored to be able to help ignite that spark in some people I will practice more to be able to make better cakes:)

I think that cake is beautiful!! I’m a culinary student and wish that we could learn how to use fondant already. What gave you the inspiration to use it? I wish you much success in your future cakes!!
