I held my wedding reception in a building with a playground outside. I included three responsible teenagers to watch them outside. I didn’t have to not invite children. They all left after they ate.
You are cordially invited to attend an adults only baby shower.
Although, be prepared that people may not want to attend if they are bringing you gifts to welcome your baby but theirs aren’t welcome.
Is there a reason you don’t want children there? I ask because I have gone to a couple of baby showers in addition to the two that were thrown for me and I bring my son with me. He is only 4 months old and I am still breastfeeding him. It is not that easy to leave him at home with his dad. And as for the two that were given in my honor a couple of guest brought there daughters and they played along with us it was cute.
Something like adults only. Or maybe let’s all have a relaxing day without the kids to celebrate the future birth of a child. I would like a nice relaxing day with my friends without any chillens to look after, who wouldn’t?!
Well you could probably do it like this:
You are invited to my babyshower and it would be appreciated if you found babysitter for your little ones. No rudeness intended, but there will not be anything to entertain them. Please be understanding. I would love for you to attend and have a good time as we celebrate the appending birth of my Boy/Girl. Thank you! \
Well i dunno i thought it sounded nice, lol hopefully you can just take parts from there and make it your own. Good Luck!
Gee its a “baby” shower we know at least one baby is going to be there. You can say No kids but that might mean fewer attendees as many Moms dont have someone to care for their children. My own opinion is that I just wouldnt come to a baby shower that says no kids.
I would write in the invitation “You have been cordially invited to an adults only baby shower, please do not bring children due to some adult content” it might be a lie about the adult content but it is the only thing that I could think of so this way it didnt sound rude

Sweetheart it’s plain and simple at the bottom of the invitation write ” NO CHILDREN PLEASE ! ” and they should honor your wishes.

I’d just say adults only. I’d also hire a babysitter just in case someone decides they don’t want to follow your rules.

Putsomething in there like, “You deserve a break from your kids!” But you need to realize that nursing moms NEED to bring their babies.
