I’m not a huge fan of shower games, but one I did that was nice was fill a plastic storage tub with a lid with diapers, and have people guess how many were inside. Then the mom got the diapers.
Games of any kind, at any kind of shower, ****. No one wants to play games. They are giving up enough of their day to attend the shower, the games just make it go on too long. Food and opening presents are good enough.
several people drink juice from a baby bottle first one to finish wins
different gerber foods on daipers guess what kind of fruit or meal it is
items on an apron that the host wears throughout the shower after the shower ends before you go write down what they remember was on the apron (baby items)
making little babies out of toilet paper best baby wins
freeze small plastic baby in small medicine cup with water 1st to thaw out wins no blowing heat on them just hold in hand or leave on table
The only baby shower game I can remember is one where you tear off as many sheets from a roll of TP as you think will go around the mom-to-be’s belly, and whoever’s closest wins. Most people guess way too big, by the way. It helps if she leaves the room first and leaves you guessing.
The best snacks were some kind of bread rolled thin like cloth, folded into little diapers, with a dab of peanut butter inside. Gross, but funny!
I was at a really fun baby shower where they played different game like:
1) They have a round table and blind-fold 4 or 5 people at a time(its up to you how many there are)(the less people there are the more times you can play the game with different people) and they have bowls of plain white DRY rice, and in the bowls are regular safety pins. and we were timed we had 60 seconds to get as many safety pins out as they could only using out hands. It seems kind of stupid as if it were going to be easy. but actually it was really hard. and whoever had the most pins won a prize.
2.) We also played a game where, they handed out papers that were all the same, and they all had slogans on them for different products…Ex) “once you pop, the fun dont stop” and we had to tell which thing it goes to. which is pringles. and it wasnt just for food, it was all different things like cleaning products, its was for all types of different things. that one was pretty fun. and that was was handed out at the beginning and like after all the other games were done. they were all collected and whoever had the most. then they again win a prize.
3) Another one is where you have the mommy-to-be leave the room and have all of the people try and write down what she was all wearing. and whoever can guess the most right, again prize.
4) You can take pictures from different ages from birth till now of her and have all the ladies/people write down for exapmle 1-10 on a peice of paper and pass one picture at a time and have each person write down how old they are in picture one, picture two, and so on.
5) If she knows the babys full name. You can have them write his full name on the top of a peice of paper and give them like one to two minutes and have them see how many words (BABY RELATED) they can come up with, using the letters from his full name. (EX. oh idk…David James Peters
they could spell Diaper, Tears. things like that, that have to do with a baby, being born, pregnancy. everything that goes a long with it.
well i have given you 5 games you could play and im sure other people have listed a lot too
Hope i helped some. have fun at the shower, and throwing it!!
Try the clothes pin game. Everyone gets one clothes pin to start. Set a time to end the game. If someone catches you saying the word “baby” you have to give them your clothes pins. If you catch somebody you get all their clothes pins. The one with the most clothes pins at the end wins a prize.
At my bestfriends baby shower she passed around a ball of yarn and everyone had to guess how much yarn it would take to go around her tummy in the biggest spot.
So everyone cut off what they thought the right size would be.
of course i won (probally because i had just had a baby boy 2 weeks earlier) so thats probally why its my fav.
also you can make 100 cup cakes and put something (if possible lil plastic babies) and whoever gets the cupcake with a baby in it gets a prize. (we used 6 plastic babies)
and finally the “play-doh babies”. everyone gets some play-doh (dollar tree) and puts it behind their backs and see who can make the “cutest” baby. you can pick more then one winner if ya want. or if you wanna make it real hard, use bubble gum!
at my baby shower we had a few games. the one everyone LOVED and laughed really hard at was a game where you take a diaper, and melt a candy bar in it. you do it with about 5 or 6 candy bars. pass the diaper around and let everyone take a taste, then they must write down what candy they think it was. whoever gets the most right wins. i know it sounds gross, but everyone who was there got a real kick out of it! we also filled a bottle up with jellybeans, and you had to guess the number. hope you do the chocolate game i mentioed! its really fun!
