The gift is from the both of you, even if you had attended the shower. You guys are most likely doing it a little bigger anyway since you are family so it’s normal that the gift is from your family to theirs.
Baby showers, just like bridal showers, are events for women only. It is the opportunity for a bride- or mother-to-be to have her trousseau (household items which are her property, not her husband’s) filled up by her female friends and family.

Hard to understand which shower it is, a bridal shower both of you!
A baby shower, should be by the person who attends the baby shower, the added spouse name is OK but not necessary!
