I have done the same theme as the nursery. Mine is going to be a boy so it was baseball and teddy bears. baseball is his daddy’s signature sport, and teddy bears are well-really cute! If i was going to have a girl i would want to do duckies and kitties and puppies, or cute baby farm animals, but thats just me!
My daughter was given a “tiny” diamond ring, she still has it (she’s 14) and it has great sentimental value, and it wasn’t that expensive, like I said it was “tiny”!
Of course there can never be enough diapers and wipes for new mama’s and their new baby girl.
Congratulations to your sister, she’s lucky to have a sis like you to want her baby shower to be special.
We just planned a baby shower for our friend and some cute ideas I thought were….
1. On the cake it said “Hello Mommy..Goodbye Tummy”
2. Instead of cards have each person bring a book for the baby with their personal message in it. I thought this idea was great. They will have the book forever and always know who it was from.
3. You can make or have a bakery make a old time baby stroller cut out cookie and have it decorated with the baby’s name on it.
4. Bath Salts for each person…Buy a bulk item and then lil’ bottles at a craft store or online. Put on the item From my shower to yours Thanks for sharing our special day!
Hope some of these were useful!
I bet you cannot wait for that baby Auntie!!
I think it depends on if you want a theme or not or how “into a girl ” you want to be. Here are some ideas, I used to work in hotels and have seen some things:
1. All pink, everything is super pink and all the decor is pink
2. Anne Geddes/Flowers- all the centerpieces were based on flowersa and some anne geddes pictures were hung up. I think favors were seeds or bookmarks with the flowers I can’t remember. There was another flower party with the flowers made out of baby booties. Try Ebay.
3. Tea Party- There was a woman who threw a very classic victorian tea party them. The favors were tea bags with the bag information on them and everyone came ready to try different teas. It was also a little bit less expensive because she ordered snack items, but put them on tea trays so they looked authentic.
4. Lullaby Baby theme- there were lullabies playing in the background and all the decorations were very fluffy and there were a lot of moon and star decorations. I can’t remember favors to much but it was really peaceful.
