yeah my friend made me nice baby favors from cups and tissues. she got two cups and put the tissue between them then folded them in the front to form a baby bootie..then added blue or pink ribbon. try it . congrats
homemade invited made on construction paper in the shape of a baby bottle get creative with how u decorate them maybe try to make some kind of camouflage design with pink and blue!
one idea I always like is Have a artificial tree decorated with diaper pins and have a sign that say baby fund or babies college fund and people can pin money on tree. or you could do diaper fund.
or instead of a tree you could also use a babies first piggy bank.
i like the scavanger hunt. you have a list of things that your geust have got to have on their person or in their purse. for instance: tweezers, bandaids, checkbook, bobbypins a scrunchy. the game was pretty neat. of course whoever has the most gets the prize.
baby showers are fun…BUT I recently hosted a baby/mommy shower…where…the gifts included small baby gifts and a gift for mommy like…a ( pedicure, massage,, breakfast out, ) the mom I did it for had really liked the ‘mommy gifts she got.. good luck!
i know an entertainment game… okay depending on what *** the babies are you get alot of pink/blue ribbons, and get safety pins and have then in a basket, starting off all your guest gets on ribbon, and threw out the baby shower, if anyone says a B or G word and someone catches them the person who catches them get the ribbon of the person who said the B or G word, and whoever has the most ribbons gets a prize…there should be a 1st , 2nd and 3rd place winner…its really fun
As far as a great baby shower gift, we may just have the thing! One of our new maternity tees says “make babies not war”. You can see the tee at. Good luck with the baby shower! And best of luck to those who are deploying soon.
for a baby shower you can go to a birthday party store they have great stuff to buy like games and nice stuff to do hey!play the game of baby names how ever get the name you made up gets the gift. And play the donkey game put a scarf over the person eyes and turn them around 3 times and they suppose to pin the tale on the donkey that’s cool and have like heath food for the mother like finger food and salad.
A friend just had a baby shower and some games we played which were really fun were: take about 5 diapers and melt different chocolate candy bars in it and pass them around and have people guess what candy bar it is. you can smell but not taste (like u would want to- it really looks like baby poopoo. then they took 5 jars of different baby food took the labes off and passed them around for people to guess which kind it was. again smell, but no taste. then they gave us like 5-10 min to come up with as many movie/ tv shows with baby, family, mom, dad brother,or sister. and they did the clothes pin one where you get a clothes pinned to your shirt, if you say baby or cross your legs you get it taken away by the person who caught you. Every one had alot of fun even her 90 year old great grandmother.
Cotton ball game-blindfold a person. have them sit on the floor in front of a bunch of cottonballs all over the floor. They have a spoon and a bowl in front of them. They have 30 seconds to try a pick up as many cotton balls as they can and put it in the bowl before time is up! Very funny to watch!
Food-Very inexpensive finger dishes are vegetable tray, deviled eggs, pasta salad and order some wings from a Chinese spot!(The have great deals like 100 wings for $20) Or order a large sub and cut it into finger sandwiches.
well when i was in the military sometimes our unit would hold a baby shower for the girls with a simple email. simple games like you were given a little baby safety pin that you can get at any party supply store or michaels and if we crossed any part of our body (i.e. legs or arms) then whoever caught us got that safety pin and whoever had the most one a prize. we also guessed what baby food was in the jar (labels were taken off). Hope this helps.
what abou the theme noah’s ark since they are two woman it would be cute to do that cause everythin was i two’s and you can go from there with the cute animals and ect
OK i had the same problem my best friend was PCSing and i Had 3 months to get a baby shower together for myself so what i did was make the invitations out of diapers it was fun and different we passed them out to friends in the shop and on our block. My games were whats in that diaper 7 diapers with 7 different food / liquids lol. the balloon race blow a balloon up put it between your legs and you have to drop it in a laundry basket. We did the drinking out the bottle guys had beer and the girls had apple juice. Then we had a drawing who could come the closest to the baby’s full name and birth date that was the last game and there were prizes for everyone Oh that was a game to there were some many gifts and same amount of numbers so you had to be blind folded and spun around before you could put your hand in the pot. it was a day i will n ever forget and i hope yours will be the same way.
As far as invitations go: E-mail! It’s fast and free. It will save you a ton of time and get the word out fast. You can still make the e-mail cute by using bright colors and fun fonts. First decide on a time, place, and theme (if you want one), then create one e-mail and copy everyone you know. Include where you are registered at and ask that everyone please RSVP.
As far as location goes: If it’s within your budget, rent out a party room at a local restuarant. Just make sure you have a fairly good idea of how many people are coming. That takes care of seating/tables, catering/food, and clean-up. All you and your guests have to do is show up! When you’re done, you get to get in your car and go home, leaving the mess for someone else to clean up.
As far as entertainment goes: I think everyone puts WAY too much emphasis on cutesy games and decorations. Your friends are there to spend time with you and help celebrate this amazing time in your life. If you want to play games at your party (I don’t want anyone to think I’m anti-game or anything!!), then there are TONS of ideas out there (check out baby shower websites for ideas) but otherwise cross this off your list of things to do or plan. Everyone will have a great time just eating/drinking/chatting/catching up/and most importantly: OPENING PRESENTS! A baby shower only lasts for 2 hours or so, sometimes less.
Final words of advice: You don’t have to have a ton of time or money to plan a fun shower. You can get just as much accomplished in 2 weeks as you could in 2 months. Don’t get too hung up on the “shower” aspect of it, just think of this more like a big get together with all your friends, with you being the guest of honor! Don’t get stressed out about it and don’t put too much pressure on yourself to throw the “perfect” shower. And the most improtant advice of all is: HAVE FUN!
