I would save it to any easy to locate folder
then go to the control panel and click the fonts icon,
Then:
In XP, Windows 2000, 98, 95 choose “install new font” from the file menu
In Vista, right click the folder background and choose “install new font”
A dialog box appears
Select the folder you downloaded to
The font will be located
Tick the box that says: “copy to font folder”
Click OK
Done

Go to Start>Control Panel>Fonts>File>Install New Fonts.. Best of luck with your newborn.

Done
You can now safely delete the downloaded font.
