Baby Shower food ideas for gestational diabetic?

waiting for September… asked: I have gestational diabetes and my sister-in-law is hosting my baby shower this weekend (Saturday 26th)
I was only diagnosed with it last week so have still to learn all I can.
No one in any of our families has ever had to deal with diabetes so we need some ideas for food [...]
